Performance & Wellbeing

Positive Sports Coaching is an innovative evidenced based way of coaching teams and individuals built around the science of positive psychology. The program is built around the science of optimism, positive feedback and process praise with the dual aims of:

  • Improving performance

  • Promoting wellbeing

Matthew Scholes has developed the Positive Sports Coaching program using the science of positive psychology and believes this strengths based approach to sports coaching will enhance both performance and wellbeing.

Professional baseball is a highly competitive environment, filled with negativity and failure. The only way to handle this is through constant optimism and self-belief. Matt Scholes – Positive Sports Coaching, provides many examples of the importance of a positive outlook, while teaching the framework and science behind positive coaching, mentoring and leadership. It was a privilege to listen to this presentation, and a must for any budding coach, captain, CEO or General Manager.

Justin Huber, (Former Major League Baseball player), CEO | Melbourne ACES
